These are some pivotal documents from CASLE’s ”later years” (roughly 2004 – 2017). During this period, the main CASLE “workers” were Robinson and treasurer J. Moore. For a time, Jon Stone joined the Board to help update the website and explore bringing staff into the organization.
The Board decided to close CASLE in 2017 because Robinson needed to retire. It seemed that CASLE had succeeded in working its way out of a job in Nova Scotia. That had been its founders’ goal in 1992. In 2016, several past board members rejoined the active board to celebrate closing CASLE together. Some of this is on “CASLE Says Thanks” on the main page. The task was completed in 2018 with the official closing of CASLE’s Canadian Charity Status.
Much practical work from the final years is posted on the main website www.casle.ca.
Years of CASLE’s historical documents are being accepted by the Nova Scotia Archives, as CASLE made a substantial difference to this Province and beyond.
